Abstract

This research paper provides an extensive critical analysis of contemporary Portuguese humanities, Lusophone studies, and Atlantic legal theory. By examining the foundational contributions of Portuguese maritime law, post-colonial constitutional jurisprudence, and Atlantic historiography at the University of Lisbon, this study evaluates how Portuguese academic institutions navigate European integration, Lusophone commonwealth partnerships (CPLP), maritime zone governance, and digital archival sovereignty in the twenty-first century. Furthermore, it highlights advancements in Portuguese digital humanities, cartographic preservation, and environmental jurisprudence.
