Abstract

The intended aim of shedding light on the traditions and conventions of conservative Arab society within the dynamics of family relations, particularly concerning women, and subjecting them to pressure, repression, and confinement under the pretext of religion, is to illuminate the rampant deviance and absence of familial justice. This is achieved by relying on thematic criticism as a foundational methodology, and by clarifying the effective and salvific outcomes that guarantee different women's rights. In addition, through a profound lexical and linguistic dive into different themes and causes of fear and pain, the very factors that stifle the dreams of the Arab women in the Middle East, the novelist Fadila Al-Faruq, through her narrative discourse, seeks to gather the fragments of a confined feminism. Accordingly, this article’s primary aim is to unveil the hidden realities of Eve's gender under the weight of coercive crime, that confine women under religious and social compulsion, excluding them from participating in the human project of life-building that guarantees her a dignified existence and freedom from regressive backwardness.
