This article examines the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing scientific research within universities. It highlights the main applications of AI throughout the research process and explores its contribution to improving research quality and accelerating knowledge production. The study also discusses the ethical, legal, and organizational challenges associated with the use of AI and outlines its future prospects in academia. The findings indicate that artificial intelligence is a promising tool for supporting scientific research; however, its effective use requires strong academic integrity and appropriate regulatory frameworks to ensure responsible implementation.
