- Accessibility: The journal ensures that all content is freely accessible and available to all readers without any paywalls or subscription barriers.
- Copyright Protection: The publisher must protect the authors' intellectual property rights and ensure proper licensing is in place.
- Publication Continuity: The publisher ensures the journal's continuity and financial sustainability through academic support, sponsorships, and donations.
- Communication and Support: The publisher must provide necessary support to authors, reviewers, and readers regarding any journal-related queries or concerns.
- Editor Responsibilities
The editor is responsible for maintaining the scientific quality and ethical standards of the content published in AJESS. The editor’s responsibilities include:
- Impartiality and Objectivity: The editor must make decisions based solely on scientific validity and ethical considerations, regardless of the author's institutional identity or personal relationships.
- Adherence to Ethical Guidelines: The editor is responsible for ensuring that all published content adheres to ethical guidelines, such as avoiding plagiarism, data manipulation, and academic fraud.
- Managing the Peer Review Process: The editor is responsible for managing the peer review process, ensuring that reviewers are objective, fair, and maintain confidentiality.
- Handling Complaints: The editor must thoroughly investigate any ethical violations or complaints regarding the journal and implement appropriate solutions.
- Publication Process Oversight: The editor ensures that submitted articles undergo thorough evaluation and that only those meeting scientific quality standards are published.
- Reviewer Responsibilities

Authors submitting to AJESS have specific ethical and academic responsibilities. The responsibilities of authors include:
